Program Overview

Advanced Plus 3X a Week is STA's high-performance evening tennis program, built for advanced young players who are ready to compete at the next level. Sessions are run at match intensity, with a strong focus on tactical development, decision-making, and the professional training standards used by competitive players.

This program is designed for players who already have a strong technical foundation and are now looking to sharpen their consistency, speed of play, point construction, and competitive mindset — the qualities that separate good juniors from tournament-ready ones.

It's the natural next step for young athletes progressing along STA's junior performance pathway, and a fit for those targeting national, regional, and ITF Junior-level competition.

What Players Will Train

  • Match-intensity training. Live ball drilling, point play, and tournament-style scenarios that replicate the pressure and pace of competition.
  • Tactical development. Building a clear game-style identity, learning patterns of play, point construction, and how to problem-solve against different opponent types.
  • Decision-making and speed of play. Reading the ball earlier, making faster shot choices, and improving recovery between shots so players can play offence without sacrificing consistency.
  • Competitive mindset and professional habits. Mental conditioning, routines between points, recovery, warm-up and cool-down protocols — the off-court standards that touring players live by.

High-Performance Session Structure

Each session is built around a high-performance structure: dynamic warm-up and activation, a technical-tactical block, live point play or match simulation, physical conditioning where appropriate, and a structured cool-down.
